Delta 2023: PDP Chieftain Dumps Party, Joins Forces With Opposition To Uproot Delta PDP

The former Executive Secretary of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta Central, Chief Andy Osawota, has dumps the party to join forces with the the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Delta State, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege to win the Delta State gubernatorial seat come 2023.

The Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, in a release posted on his verified Facebook page said “This evening, we received the former Executive Secretary of the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Andy Osawota into the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

Osawota is a close ally of former Governor James Ibori, and a major supporter of Olorogun David Edevbie who came second in the primaries of the PDP.

He hails from Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

Also present to receive Osawota at the Effurun- G.R.A residents of Omo-Agege’s is his running mate, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi and the Delta APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie.
