More Goals Seen in 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup

A total of 14 goals were scored in the second round of Matchday 1 fixtures across all centers of the 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup in Delta State.

A double apiece from Christopher Kennedy and Shedrach Okere and a solitary goal from Aminu Aliyu catapulted FC Galaxy to a 5 – 2 victory over Ihun Iyase FC of Agbor at the Kwale Township Stadium and put the slum side in cruise control of Group C.

It was, however, a bit experience at home for Shining Stars of Oleh, as Lord Honour FC easily trounced them 2 – 0 at the Oleh Township Stadium in Group E.

That result keeps Lord Honour FC on top of the group standings, as Delta Warriors and Osevan FC give chase with a point apiece to remain in contention with Shining Stars rooted to the bottom with no point.

In the second game of the day played at the Oleh Township Stadium, Aladja United and 90 FC settled for a one-all draw in Group F to leave the group in the hands of Jeremi United, who have 3 points in the Kitty already.

At the Warri City Stadium, All Stars International and Ekete United shared the spoils of the battle under the scotching sun, as it finished in a goalless draw between them in Group G.

The last game seen at Warri City Stadium produced an outright winner, as Mega Stars beat Young Shall Grow FC 2 – 1 in Group H to stay on top of the group with God’s Project FC with the same number of points and goals.

The final set of opening group fixtures will feature on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, with Sundof Academy playing Bobbies United of Warri in a Group A tie at 12noon and Visionaries FC taking on Henfield Academy in Group B earlier in the day by 10am all at the Agbor Township Stadium.

Experience and youth will be put to test when two high flying teams, Ede United and Maro11 Speedstar Academy, meet at the Kwale Township Stadium in Group D.

The epic encounter will kick off at 12noon.

It will be recalled that the opening round of group matches on Monday, October 14,2019 produced 32 goals across all centers in the competition.
