National Assembly Members, Buhari cabinet member to grace LAPO 26th Annual Development Forum

Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO) has invited health & academic institutions, professional associations/trade unions, government agencies, policy makers, NGOs/CSOs, development partners, religious bodies, women groups for its forthcoming development forum.

James-Wisdom Abhulimen,Public Relations Officer of LAPO said this in a statement issued to newsmen in Benin on Wednesday.

According to him, LAPO Development Forum has become a rallying point for discussions and provision of workable solutions to identified issues in poverty and development in Nigeria.

“A Non-governmental and not-for-profit development organization, LAPO would address the root causes and manifestations of poverty such as poor health, economic powerlessness and discrimination”.

He said “ignorance, social exclusion and gender inequality through innovative financial and non-financial programs targeting disadvantaged groups across the country would be discussed”.

Over 300 distinguished personalities including members of the National Assembly, Cabinet Ministers, Policy Makers, Health Practitioners, Civil Society Organizations and International Development Organisations are to grace the occasion.

The Forum is scheduled to hold at the International Conference Centre, Central Business District, Abuja on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 from 9:00am prompt.
