Gunmen suspected to be cultist have killed two persons at Iyara in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta-State.
Around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the gunmen shot dead a young man simply identified as Kebi and his girlfriend (yet to be identified) at the popular Akara junction in Iyara Area, Warri.
It was reported that the assailants stormed the area and started shooting indiscriminately.
Newsmen gathered that several persons were wounded in the incident.
It was learnt that the gunmen shot indiscriminately for over 30 minutes to scare residents of the area before killing their victims.
Some of the injured persons are said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
A source said, “It was not up to 30 minutes that one of the persons who died left Esi Layout. He was in Esi Layout with some of his friends when he left for Iyara. 30minutes, the information came that he is dead. That some gunmen just killed him.”

It was gathered that a yet-to-be-identified young man was allegedly killed by gunmen suspected to be cultists on Tuesday night at Morogu Junction near Iyara area.
The latest killing is speculated to be a reprisal attack to avenge the death of young man killed at Morogu Junction.
