Tension In Delta Community As Gunmen Attack Police Officers, Cart Away Rifles, Kill One

There is palpable tension in Obodougwua, Ogume community and environs as gunmen attacked a police dragon squad attached to Delta State Command, injured three officers and made away with their rifles along Ozoro /Kwale Road in Ndokwa Local Council of the state.

Newsmen gathered that three of the eight police officers were injured, while one Chief Jose Onalugbum was killed.

Onalugbum, who was killed at about 8:15 a.m., on August 10, at his Oduegbala farmland, was allegedly shot severally by the hoodlums and his remains were immediately taken to the mortuary.

The Police Public Relations (PPRO), Edafe Bright, who confirmed the incidents, said the dragon task force went after the hoodlums immediately, killed two and recovered two AK47 rifles.
