Unemployment: Activist Task Edo Government on Job Creation

The President of One Love Foundation, Patrick Eholor, has urged the Edo state government to fight insecurity by creating jobs for the teeming youth of state

The activist who stated this during an interview with Newsmen in Benin, the Edo state capital, said enlightenment programmes and Jobs creation will tackle lingering issues of insecurity in the state.

“Insecurity in Nigeria can be tackled,if our leads are honest with us.

“Nigeria is blessed with natural resources.if our leaders are honest with us,there would the less corruption,insecurity,unemployment and lack of power supply would be dealt with.

“The government should be able to reduce salaries of members of the house of assembly,Senators and other top politicians in order to recruit police men and establish more security agencies.

“Unemployment in Nigeria also has contributed highly to most of the crimes in the country.

“Majority of criminals today indulging in such crimes because they have no jobs or source of income.

Eholor however, appealed to government to create more jobs and production centres across the three senatorial districts so as to gainfully engage more youths in the state.

He also advised the youth to take all the empowerment programmes of the state government seriously.
