What I Told Atiku After The PDP Presidential Primary – Wike

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has reveals what he told the former Nigerian Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who visited him after his victory at the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Presidential Primary Election.

Wike, who contested the presidential primary on Saturday and came second with 237 votes against former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar’s 371 votes spoke on Monday, when he addressed PDP supporters in Rivers state.

According to Wike in his address on Monday, he warned Atiku Abubakar against believing some of the governor’s who accompanied him, saying that they cannot win election even in their own state.

Wike claims that betrayal, conspiracy, and sabotage on the part of southern governor’s necessitated his failure at the PDP Presidential Primary Election.

“Yes, it may be painful to you, it may be painful to us, but we cannot abandon the party. And let me also say to those who do not understand, and who take Rivers state for a ride, now they have learnt their lesson. You need us. Forget about these people who have nothing to offer and who make noise up and down.

“I saw one governor who was dancing. Meanwhile, he did not win one delegate. I told Atiku Abubakar this afternoon when he came to see me that ‘some of the people following you here, they don’t have votes; they re empty.’ I have votes. I have something to offer. Do they have anything to offer?
