2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup: Good Opportunity for Grassroot Talents to Shine

The Head Coach of Free Tigers Football Club, Tega Okorogri, has said that the 2019 edition of the Bet9ja Royal Cup is an opportunity for grassroot talents in Delta State to shine.

Speaking shortly after completing the registration process for his football club at Udu Local Government Area, Coach Okorogri stated that his team relish the challenge of competing against the very best of grassroot teams in the state, applauding the Local Organizing Committee for limiting the number of professional players per team to three.

“This competition is a good opportunity for grassroot talents to showcase themselves,” said Coach Okorogri emphatically.

“We relish the challenge of taking part in it,” he stated. “We look forward to facing the very best in Delta State, since there would only be three professionals per team. Kudos to the organizers for that.”

Coach Okorogri urged teams yet to register to do so quickly and take advantage of this tournament to help their players in the game.

“I implore other teams here to register,” said Coach Okorogri. “I learnt that registration will end on the 24th of this month(August, 2019). Let them take advantage of this tournament. ”

“For the teams registered already,” he added, “let them work hard and prepare well. Let them play fair and let’s enjoy good football at the grassroot.”

Free Tigers Football Club was founded in 2016 and they will participate in the Royal Cup for the first time in their history.

When the competition starts formally on September 14, 2019, Free Tigers will lock horns with other teams in the qualifying matches in Udu Local Government Area for a place in the group stage.

The draws for the 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup will hold at Wellington Hotels in Effurun, Delta State.
