NAOWA 14 Brigade Chapter Distributes educational Materials as schools resume

The Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association ( NAOWA) Ohafia Chapter,Abia State has distributed educational materials to the children of some gallant soldiers that died in the course of duty.

Abiola Solomon Kumapayi,theZonal Coordinator NAOWA Ohafia Chapter represented by Dorothy Ota,a Member of NAOWA disclosed this during the distribution of items at Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks Ohafia, Abia State on Friday.

Ota said that the aim of the distribution was to assist the families of the fallen heroes who paid the supreme price of fighting for peace and unity in the country.

In his speech, the Commander 14 Brigade, Brigadier General Solomon Kumapayi thanked the NAOWA for the donation and promised to always support the association when the need arises.

He said the gallant soldiers who paid the supreme price would be proud of their colleagues wherever they are.

He said NAOWA is a non profitable and charitable organisation that leverages on goodwill to support families of officers and soldiers in the barracks.

The event had in attendance, the Chief of Staff 14 Brigade, Colonel Mohammed Babayo, Commanding Officers, members of NAOWA Ohafia Chapter, Staff Officers, Soldiers and their families.

NAOWA distributed 50 pairs of school uniforms for both primary and secondary, note books and writing materials to kick start the new academic session.
