Residents of Ubeta community, in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers states are in state of panicking as fire gutted an oil facility belonging to the Nigerian Agip Company in the community.
It was gathered that the fire outbreak on the oil installation started on Thursday, even as the cause of the inferno remained unknown as of Friday.

It was learned that the inferno had caused panic among the indigenes of the community.
It was gathered that a Joint Investigating Visiting team was putting heads to see how the fire would be put out.

When contacted, the Port Harcourt Zonal Director of National Oil Spill Detection Response Agency, Cyrus Nkangwung, said he was informed about the incident at 3am on Friday.
