Advocacy Visit: Delta ACOMIN visit Oshimili North LGA Boss, MSH to Advocate Malaria Free Delta

The Civil Society in Malaria Control Immunisation Nutrition (ACOMIN), Delta State Advocacy Team, advocate for a Malaria free Delta as they visit the Chairman, Oshimili North Local Government Area Council, Hon. Luis Ndekwe, and the Management Science for Health (MSH), Pharmacist Raymond Emito.

The state Program Officer, Itua Osasunmhen, who led the team respectively to the Chairman of Oshimili North LGA, and Management Science for Health (MSH), applauded their quick responses to issues brought to their attention since ACOMIN came on board in the project. The State Advocacy Team, also appreciated MSH for their various supports in contributing to the overall effort of Malaria elimination in Delta state.

“ACOMIN has witness various issues addressed that your attention in the past has been drawn to.

“Malaria can only be eliminated if all stakeholders come on board to work collaboratively. Since the engagement of ACOMIN by the Global Fund through its principal recipient; Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to handle the Accountability and Advocacy Component of the Global Fund Malaria Project, ACOMIN has worked with critical stakeholders to ensure Accountability for commodity utilization, Accountability for value for money, Accountability for budgetary appropriations, Accountability for Human Resource deployment, and Accountability for Result”

The State Advocacy Team also drew the attention of the Oshimili North LGA boss to major challenges seen across Health facilities within the Oshimili North LGA.
