Delta community Sign Peace, Security, and Investment Treaty with an NGO

An International NGO, Edewor Peace, Security & Investment Initiative has commenced moves aimed at attracting Investors and Investment opportunities to some Delta communities.

This was the focal point of discussions during the interactive session and Agreement signing event held at Ozue District in Okuovo Community, Elume in Sapele LGA of Delta State.

While speaking with the Community Leaders, Elders, Youths and Women, the representative of Edewor Peace, Security & Investment Initiative, Comfort Emesiri, expressed the willingness of Nigerians in diaspora and other foreign investors to come over and do business in Okuovo and other communities in Delta State, but are afraid to do so due to the incessant cases of kidnapping, youth restiveness, vandalizing, civil unrest and other social vices prevalent in these communities.

She opined that if the communities can provide the enabling environment for Investment to thrive, it will help to boost the economic and social life of Okuovo.

Responding on behalf of Okuovo Community, Jacob Ajuja thanked their Son, Prof. Rollison Edewor for his efforts towards the betterment of the Community. He promised to mobilise every member of the community to give their necessary support towards ensuring peace and security in the area.

Its social and economic life will soon witness unprecedented growth and Okuovo community is a beacon of light in this revival that is championed by our Son, Rollison Edewor” he said
