Delta Will Become Trade Hub For Other States, Says Shimite

The Special Adviser to Delta State Governor, on Trade and Export Chief Shimite Bello has revealed that the state will become a business hub for other states in Nigeria.

Chief Bello disclosed this on Thursday 7th, December 2023, during a press conference at Asaba.

Bello said the conference become imperative to profile entrepreneurs in the state to prepare and equip them based on branding products and packaging.

She revealed that the office of trade and export was specifically created by the governor to take of local products and make it competitive in the national market.

She said ultra-modern market has already been built in Oko,in Oshimili South Local Government Area to enhance the meaningful development of the M.O.R.E Agenda.

In her statement “the profiling has started since October and her office is saddle on real products and services such as food, Palm oil, cake, bread, wine, art, craft, photography, fashion, shoes, body cream, bead making, skits cartoon, and many more.”

Other responsibilities she said licensing of products with NAFDAC, SON, Quarantine Service, Nigeria Export Promotion Council and other commission that centered on food and beverages.

She called on entrepreneurs who have not been profiled to take advantage and be profilied before December 15, 2023, that the state government wants to encourage entrepreneurs by creating an enabling environment for local products to reach out to the major markets globally.
