The Edo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged all political parties I Nigeria to review their constitution against political defectors.
According to the PDP, that will instill discipline in all political parties in Nigeria void of gamblers.

Chairman of the party, Chief Dan Orbih, stated this in an interview with Newsmen after presiding over an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting of the PDP.
“This is a time for sober reflection. Parties should revisit the issue of waiver for new comers who are interested in contesting elective position.
“Defector must have stayed in a party for a minimum period before they can contest elective position,” the party said.

A governorship candidate of the PDP in 2016, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu alongside dozens of his supporters Thursday resigned their membership from the party and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ize-Iyamu joined the PDP in 2014 and emerged the party’s flag-bearer two years after.
