IUO graduate 210 law students

Prof Lawrence Ezemonye, Vice-Chancellor, Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo, has urged law students of the institution to promote national development by abiding to the laws of the country.

He made the call on Saturday at a valedictory service held for 210 graduates of the Oba Erediawa College of Law of the university.

The vice-chancellor said the valedictory sessions signified the additional of a new possibilities for the students,adding that the students should take life seriously.

He urged the law students to be keys players the legal practice,portray good legal characters and establish their own graduate code.

“I want you to always imbibe the principles of the best practices of law everywhere you go,”he said.

Ezemonye said that every society and country needs a legal touch,adding that the world is not complete without a lawyer.

Prof Rasheed Ijaodola, thanked God for keeping the students,advising them to acquaint with senior legal practitioner in order to learn.

He thanked the parents of the new law students for entrusting their children into the hands of the lecturers in the university.

Ijaodola who inducted the graduates, said the college had been fully accredited.

Earlier, Hon Justice Alaba Ajileye,Judge of Kogi State High Court,a guest lecture who gave the Valedictory lecture,urged the student not to be afraid to embrace and champion-bold ideas for a stronger and better legal system.

He said the law student should always approach their works with both their heads and hearts,adding that been frightened is the beginning of failure.

“Stand form for the truth always. You now have the opportunity to become leaders and innovators in a digital age”.
