The Lagos state Government Discharged Seven (7) Coronavirus patients from Infectious Disease Hospital in Lagos.
The Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who announced this on his Twitter handle, said a total of 49 people have recovered and discharged in the state.
“I bring you more good news from our Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. Today, seven more patients – three females and four males were discharged to reconnect with the community after full recovery and having tested negative twice consecutively for #COVID-19.
“This brings to 46, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our Yaba facility.
“So far, we have had 100 per cent recovery from the #COVID-19 cases we have admitted and managed at our isolation facilities.
“While we celebrate our successes, let us note that social distancing is important and non-negotiable in the war against COVID-19.
“Stay at home, observe good personal hygiene and adhere strictly to advice from our health experts.”
Meanwhile, Anambra and Niger states have recorded their first cases of the dreaded coronavirus which that has globally claimed many lives.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced via its verified Twitter handle that the two states recorded one case each on Friday.
“17 new cases of #COVID-19 have been reported as follows: eight in Lagos, three in Katsina, two in FCT, one in Niger, one in Kaduna, one in Anambra and one in Ondo.
“As of 09:30 pm on the 10th of April, there are 305 confirmed cases, 58 discharged, seven deaths.”
On the breakdown of state-by-state record, NCDC said “Currently, Lagos has 163 cases, FCT- 56, Osun – 20, Edo – 12, Oyo – 11, Bauchi – six, Akwa Ibom – five, Ogun – 7, Kaduna – six, Enugu – two, Ekiti – two, Rivers – two, Kwara – two, Delta – two, Benue – one, Ondo – two, Katsina – four, Niger – one, and Anambra – one.”
