The Chief Strategist to Delta State Governor, Dr. Festus Okubor has posited that Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori would be all time hero Governor the state may ever have.
Dr. Okubor gave this assertion when he spoke with journalists in Asaba, Delta State Capital on the on the 38 court cases the Governor scaled through , climaxing with the Supreme court affirmation as the duly elected Governor of Delta.
Okubor noted that for any one person to go through 38 court cases and emerge Governor, to him, those court cases were deliberately allowed by God to purify the Governor and the dreams of all Deltans.
According to his statement, ” for me, it is amazing that anyone person will go through 38 court cases to emerge as governor, but in my understanding of life, I believe those cases were deliberately allowed by God to purify him and the dreams of all Deltans”.
He, continued, ” I have this instinctive feeling that he may just be seen as all time hero of this state, so the 38 court cases were to polish him, make him better and stronger, he has gone through stress, pressure, and anything that he needed to go through”.
Dr. Festus Okubor noted that His Excellency Oborevwori knows it was the hand of God, and that he can assure Deltans the Governor will try to do the good things that God would have done for us, saying the Governor know that God could not have taken him through all this for nothing.
On electricity generation , the Chief Strategist to the Delta State government , revealed that Governor Oborevwori was already on top of the situation by setting up a committee to domesticate and create the enabling laws that the State house of assembly needs to pass to deal with the issues of energy generation, distribution, and collection of payments as deregularized by Federal government that every state can now generate electricity.
He added that the Oborevwori administration is set to tackle the issues of light in the state, energy availability, saying energy is the foundation of any meaningful development, sustainable development and all round development.
Dr. Okubor also justified the huge attention being given to the commercial hub of the state , warri, affirming that for foreign investors to come and do business there, it is imperative that they meet infrastructure and services that are at par with what they are used to in their countries of origin
