The Deputy President of the Nigeria senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has condemned the attack on the former Governor of Edo state, who is also the Present Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, calling on the Nigeria police to fish out the perpetrators.
Omo-Agege who said this in a release by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yomi Odunuga, in Abuja, described the attack as “callous, cowardly, inhumane and totally unacceptable and should be condemned by all.”

Oshiomhole was reported to have escaped a major attempt on his life by armed thugs who swooped on his Benin residence in Okoro-Otun Avenue, GRA, on Saturday.
The thugs were said to have shot sporadically into the air.

Omo-Agege therefore called on parents to warn their wards against political violence, adding that the attack negated democratic principles.
