Ahead the 2023 General elections, a Group known as “Emerging Dream Of A Positive Delta” has called on Engr. Omovigho Edafeghwara to make himself available to serve the good people of Delta State as Governor come 2023.
This was contained in a communique signed by its Director, Efe Oghorobada and made available to Journalists immediately after a meeting held in Asaba, the State Capital.
The statement reads;
“Today, August 9, 2019, professionals from all walks of life who are true sons and daughters of Delta Origin came together under the umbrella of *Emerging Dream of A Positive Delta* to critically examine the state of development and socio-economic well being of our dear Delta State.”
“While we commend Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmental strides so far, we believe more still needed to be done to transform the oil rice State.”
“This is not time to start apportioning blames. We have come to a point where all stakeholders, professionals, Men & Women, Youth must come together and contribute towards nation building without selfish, petty or political party sentiments”
“The 2019 general elections has come and gone. Winners have emerged and subsequently sworn into offices but we all know that the end of an election also commences the beginning of another. If we must get it right this time and put the right people in position of authority, then we must tell ourselves the truth and work assiduously towards enthroning an egalitarian society”
“At this point in time, we at the *Emerging Dream of A Positive Delta* have decided to throw our weight behind *Engr. Omovigho Edafeghwara* who has what it takes to transform Delta State positively.
