The Managing Director/ Chief Executive of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Bashorun Askia Ogieh, has called on the 2019 Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Delta State, Chief Ovedje Ogboru, to join hands with the Delta state Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, in consolidating the foundation for a Stronger Delta.
The MD/CEO of DESOPADEC, who was reacting to the victory of Okowa at the Supreme Court, said Ogboru’s petition was unnecessary distraction to the Okowa-led administration.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday in a unanimous judgement delivered by Justice Centus Nweze dismissed the appeal filed by the candidate of APC, Chief Ogboru against the election victory of Governor Okowa in March 9 governorship election in the state.
While Congratulating the Governor, Askia call on Ogboru to join hands with Governor in consolidating the foundation for a Stronger Delta.
“The nuisance and distraction of the legal tussle is over.
“Despite the distractions of the opposition, Governor Okowa has been focused in delivering democracy dividends throughout the nooks and crannies of Delta State.

“The victory was expected. Deltans freely gave Governor Okowa the mandate to deliver prosperity to all, including members of the opposition. That is why I am calling on Great Ogboru to join hands with our Governor for the benefit of all,” Bashorun Ogieh said.”
