The Governor of the Central Bank Of Nigerian, Mr. Godwin Emefiele has explains why the apex banks decides to extend the January 31st Deadline for the withdrawal of the old Naira Notes from circulation.
Emefiele made the announcement on Sunday.
Speaking to journalists, he said, “A 10-day extension of the deadline from January 31, 2023 to February 10, 2023, to allow for the collection of more old notes legitimately helɗ by Nigerians.”
