The Head of Public and External Relations Unit of Igbinedion University Okada, Omooba Obajide-Ilugbo has been appointed as a member of the Governing Council of Westland University, Iwo, Osun State.
This was disclosed by a statement signed by the Chancellor of the University, Engr. Dr Wole Adepoju on Sunday.
He noted that “The Governing Council is the ultimate administrative body of the university which among other things is empowered to determine the educational character,academic direction and integrity of the university”.
“The appointment is also to ensure that students of the university have a high level of quality learning experience leading to academic awards which are subject to the application of appropriate academic standards”,he said.
The Chancellor urged Omooba Obajide-Ilugbo to bring his wealth of experience as an education administrator of note to bear as a member of Governing Council and assist in building the university to a global brand for benefits of generations to come.
