Igbinedion Varsity graduates 598 Entrepreneurs

Prof Lawrence Ezemonye,Vice Chancellor of Igbenedion University Okada,(IUO) has advised students to acquire a skills in order to develop themselves,create a world of independence and improve national development.

Ezemonye gave the advice during an exhibition of goods produced by IUO students in Okada on Wednesday.

“Today’s event marks the formal conclusion of a mandatory entrepreneurial training for all 300 level students in all disciplines,exposed to 12 weeks skill sets”.

“The course is compulsory for all students of Igbenedion University Okada”,Ezemonye said.

Ezemonye said that entrepreneurs have the power to shape the world by developing versatile skills and profitable business scheme that are needed for human development.

Peace Nwaokocha,a 300 level makeup artist in Igbenedion University Okada,(IUO)said makeup business has the potential of reducing unemployment and poverty because it is very profitable.

Nwaokocha said that makeup business could be a money spinning business for prospective learners if properly developed.

According to her, makeup business in Nigeria can play an important role in reducing unemployment and poverty.

“I thank Igbenedion University Okada for making Entrepreneurship Studies compulsory for all students”.

“I am a 300 level nursing student of this great institution.Today I would graduate from school of hair care,manicures and pedicure with a certificate”.

“Am happy because at the end of my stay in IUO,I would have two certificates”.

“Presently I can makeup a bride for N50,000″.

Aihimegbe Elvis,Instructor of School of Animal Husbandry who spoke described fishery as ”a niche and an unusual business, adding that successful fish farmer enjoys the huge rewards.

He said that majority of fish farmers are wealthy,adding that fishery business had advantages over other animal husbandry businesses.

Elvis urged the federal government to provide funds for vibrant youngsters to acquire a skill in order to create more job opportunities.

Report says 598 students graduated from the department of Entrepreneurial studies.
